Counselling Services

About my services

Please view my adult tab for specific information related to my counselling services for the over 18’s.

Counselling allows children and young people to explore their own issues, set their own goals and make sense of their world. I offer them the opportunity of doing this within a safe and confidential space. (I will discuss with you and your child when this confidentiality might be broken).

As a child-led counsellor, I use a variety of creative media to explore the child/young person’s inner world. By getting to know the child, we use our relationship together to explore their feelings, worries, issues, and their own world to identify what their own goals are. If a child or young person wishes to talk, that is ok to.

What is creative media?

Creative media can be anything that the child chooses to use as a tool to explore their own feelings. Some of these include:

Drawing, painting or collage work

Miniature figures

Sand tray

Clay

Books and stories

Puppets and soft toys

Imaginative pretend play (role play)

Games

Guided imagery
